Hello Dancers! I can't believe there are only 6 weeks until the recital! LOTS of important information is in this notice and/or will be communicated over the coming weeks…

• The 2010-2011 Schedule, Tuition, Policies, and Dress Code is attached to this email. Please note, base tuition prices have stayed the same for the 3rd year in a row! We have several new classes and time offerings for the new season - including Cheerdance, Musical Theater, Adult Classes, and more!
  • We'd like to welcome Melissa "Missy" Hewson to our teaching staff for the new season!
  • Also, new for 2010-2011 season, as a convenience to our studio families, the hard-to-find WHITE tap shoes will no longer be required. We are switching everyone to BLACK! Easy to find and easy to clean! Please see the dress code for more information. (And of course, please feel free to continue using whatever shoes you DO have until they no longer fit - and if you're lucky enough to make it all the way to recital - black spray paint is a wonderful thing.
  • 2010 Fall Registration Forms (and paper copies of all 2010-2011 info) are available in the studio lobby (and online soon).
    • 2010 Registration Forms (both YELLOW and WHITE COPIES) may be mailed or dropped off at the studio, but fall registration questions will NOT be handled DURING classes. Please call or email me if you have questions so we can spend our class time on THIS year and not the next. Thank you for your cooperation!
    • I will, however, be available for in-studio office hours on MONDAYS from 6-7:30pm and would be happy to process registrations, answer any questions, and make recommendations for next year.
    • Registrations are not official until you receive the YELLOW copy back (with Director's Approval) - as class placement must be verified and availability must be checked.
    • Fall registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis - however, current students have the ability to pre-register for classes before registration is open to the public on May 15th.
• Summer 2010 Camps and Classes are filling quickly! Reserve your spot in a full-session camp or workshop and receive $10 off your Fall Registration Fee! (does not apply to individual drop-in classes). *No Summer Reg. Fee for Current Students!
• Recital Packets will be handed out Saturday, May 8th at Ticket Sale Day. If you do NOT make it to TSD, the packet will be given to your dancer at his/her next class. Important Recital Information, including Flower & DVD Order Forms, Rehearsal Schedules, and the return of the Recital Program Advertising will be in the packet!

2010 Registration Promotion - How does NO Registration Fee sound???
Register for Fall classes by June 15th and receive $10 OFF the Fall registration fee (limit one per family). Register for Summer Full-Sessions and receive an additional $10 OFF (limit one per family). Use direct debit from your checking account (voided check required) instead of a credit/debit card when you register and receive another $5 OFF (limit one per family). That's a total of $25 in savings - which could mean NO Registration Fee for individual dancers and only $25 for families of two or more! And of course, our Refer-a-Friend promotion will still be in effect as well. Refer a new student for the 2010-2011 dance season and receive a FREE 2011 Recital Ticket!

Ticket Sale Day and Recital T-Shirts
Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, May 8th from 2-4pm AT THE STUDIO. We are pleased to announce that for the fourth year in a row, we will not be raising ticket prices - tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. No one will be admitted without a ticket. Accounts must be in good standing (ie. paid up-to-date) in order to purchase tickets. It is reserved seating and seats can be chosen only when purchasing tickets on Ticket Sale Day. If you miss Ticket Sale Day, you may fill out a ticket request form at the studio beginning on Monday, May 10th and you will receive the best available seats. Recital Tees & Tanks will also be available for $15 each.

Pirouette Club
Congratulations to our newest member of the DIDC Pirouette Club - Kaylee Murray! She has perfected both of her single pirouettes!

Bring-a-Friend Week
Bring-a-Friend Week will be held the week of May 17th through May 22nd. Students are welcome to bring a friend to class (free of charge of course) to watch or participate. Comfy clothes and CLEAN sneakers or socks are recommended. Invitations will go out this week so you can tell your friend to come and have fun with you and see your dances. Friends MUST bring their invitation with them to the dance class (as this serves as their permission slip/liability waiver).
